El Nido Airport, also called Lio Airport, is situated just 4 km from El Nido and handles a small range of domestic flights around the Philippines. Travelers looking to book flights from the UAE to El Nido will need to make a stopover somewhere as no airlines provide direct flights from anywhere in the UAE. However, you can quite easily make the trip with just a single stopover due to the airport’s connections around the Philippines.
El Nido Airport recently constructed a new terminal to boost its capacity and facilities, although the airport is still very limited in its range of amenities and facilities so you might want to come prepared and bring any essential things you need. Once your flight has arrived at the airport you can find plenty of taxis to make the short trip into the city, or you may want to prearrange a private transfer yourself.
