Arriving In Kharkiv

Kharkiv International Airport is situated around 10 km outside of the city of Kharkiv and consists of a new passenger terminal alongside a smaller VIP terminal. When you have arrived at the airport there are a number of ways to reach the city including by bus, trolleybus and minibus, so you don’t have to take a taxi if you don’t want to. The airport provides all of the essential amenities and facilities you would need including 24-hour dining options, duty-free shopping and free Wi-Fi as well as a business lounge which is available for a fee on the door to all travelers.

Kharkiv International Airport handles a variety of regional flights but does not yet serve any direct flights from the UAE, so travelers based in the UAE will need to make a stopover somewhere in order to complete the journey. If you only want to make a single stopover, you may want to make a transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport which serves regular flights to and from Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Travel Information

UAE nationals traveling to the Ukraine will be able to acquire a visa upon arrival which is valid for a period of up to 15 days. In Kharkiv you can expect freezing temperatures and plenty of snowfall over the winter, although during the summer period temperatures warm up with average highs of around 26 degrees. The city is served by its own metro network which makes it very easy to get around and explore, although it is possible to rent a car at the airport when you have arrived if you would prefer.
