Luxor is one of Egypt’s most popular travel destinations due to its close proximity to some of the country’s most iconic historic landmarks like the Valley of the Kings, home to a wide range of ancient tombs like the Tomb of Tutankhamen. Although the Valley of the Kings is the most famous attraction, there are many more stunning landmarks well worth visiting like the Luxor Temple and the Temple of Karnak. Along with its wealth of ancient ruins, Luxor also offers plenty more things to do such as a river cruise along the Nile or hiking out in the desert for the intrepid traveler. As a popular travel destination, Luxor is home to excellent modern amenities as well as authentic local souks so you can get a taste of both worlds.
