Reasons To Visit Montenegro
Although relatively small in size, Montenegro is a country with a diverse topography ranging from its coastal regions along the Adriatic Sea to its mountainous terrain inland. Perhaps the most popular region in the country is the Riviera along the sea which boasts some of Europe’s most stunning natural sights such as the Bay of Kotor. Here you can also visit the walled town of Budva known for its many beautiful historic sites and surrounding beaches and coastal walks. Adventurous travelers will want to explore some of the rugged mountainous terrain of Montenegro such as the stunning Tara River Canyon in Durmitor National Park. Within the capital Podgorica you can expect to find many beautiful heritage sites and plenty more modern attractions with its vibrant bars and restaurants to keep everyone happy.

Arriving In Montenegro
Tivat Airport is the busiest airport in Montenegro closely followed by Podgorica Airport. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Montenegro, it is possible to make the journey directly to Tivat Airport out of Dubai. Currently the only airline operating on this route is flydubai, with all flights leaving from Dubai International Airport (Flydubai baggage allowance and fares explained). However, be advised that flights are operated on a seasonal basis, so you will not be able to travel to Montenegro directly at certain times of the year.
When arriving at Tivat Airport you are only 4 km away from the city center, so you may prefer to hop in a taxi to get to your destination. The airport itself is relatively small and offers only the bare essentials when it comes to amenities and facilities, although you can still enjoy duty-free shopping during your stay.
