Asturias Airport is located around 40 km from Gijon and just under 50 km away from Oviedo, the regional capital of Asturias. When you have landed at the airport you can find public transport available if you would rather not pay for a taxi, especially if you are making the long journey to Oviedo or Gijon. During your time at the airport you can enjoy a decent range of eateries and cafés to satisfy your appetite, while the airport also provides duty-free shopping alongside a few travel shops to find all your basics.

UAE travelers looking to fly to Asturias will not be able to make the journey directly as there are no carriers providing nonstop flights from the UAE. However, Asturias Airport has regular flights from a number of airports with direct connections to the UAE including London Heathrow and Madrid, so it is possible to make the trip with only one transfer.
