Cibao International Airport is located around 15 km away from the city of Santiago and has separate terminals for domestic and international flights. As the third busiest airport in the Dominican Republic, Cibao International Airport handles a range of regional flights and a number of flights from airports in the United States. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Santiago you won’t be able to make the journey directly as there are no airlines offering direct flights from anywhere in the UAE. There are however a few flight options available which would involve only a single stopover for travelers coming from the UAE which makes the journey much easier.

Cibao International Airport is a relatively small airport but still provides a decent selection of amenities to keep travelers occupied. There are a few different cafes and diners open to passengers to keep your appetite sated, while you can also do a bit of duty free shopping during your stay. When you have landed at the airport, the most convenient way to travel into the city is to flag down taxi just outside of the airport.
