Reasons To Visit Wales
Wales has the title of the westernmost city in North America sitting as it does on the western coast of Alaska overlooking the Bering Sea. With a tiny population of around 150 people, Wales was originally an Inuit village before developing into a center for the whaling trade. As well as discovering more about the region’s interesting history, travelers in Wales can find plenty of exciting outdoor adventures to embark upon such as whale watching, hiking and camping and water-based activities like kayaking and fishing.
Arriving In Wales
Wales Airport is located only 2 km from the center of Wales and currently handles regular flights from Nome. If you are looking to fly from the UAE to Wales you won’t be able to make the trip directly as no carriers provide nonstop flights. Instead, it will be necessary to make at least two stopovers in order to get from the UAE to Wales.
Wales Airport is a very small airport offering little in terms of facilities and services, so all travelers are advised to bring everything you need with you to the airport as you won’t find much there by way of shops and restaurants. Taxis are not always available from the airport, so it may be wise to prearrange for a private transfer before catching your flight.
