Reasons To Visit Afghanistan

Afghanistan is one of the oldest inhabited regions on Earth and has been at the forefront of a huge range of important historical events and ruled by numerous ancient empires, making it an ideal destination for those interested in history. Be sure to head into the capital Kabul during your stay where most of the country’s best museums and cultural landmarks are to be found like the National Museum of Afghanistan, along with some truly memorable works of architecture like the Gardens of Babur. Afghanistan is a very rugged country with many mountainous regions which are ideal for adventure seekers, with the country a favorite with mountaineers and trekkers.

Arriving In Afghanistan

While Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul is the busiest airport serving Afghanistan, travelers in the UAE will also be able to fly directly to Kandahar International Airport. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Afghanistan, you will be able to fly out of Dubai to Kabul or Kandahar. If you are looking to make the trip to Kabul, you can make the journey with Emirates, flydubai, Kam Air and Safi Airways from Dubai International Airport, while those traveling to Kandahar can fly with Ariana Afghan Airlines or Kam Air from the same airport.

Both airports offer very little in terms of amenities and facilities, so you are best off bringing all of the essentials you need with you in order to avoid disappointment. Kabul Airport is only 5 km away from the center of carpal so the taxi trip should be affordable, while Kandahar International Airport is a little further out from the center of Kandahar at around 15 km.
