Bamako-Senou International Airport is the main airport serving Bamako and also the busiest in Mali located just 15 km away from the capital Bamako. However, it will be possible to travel with just a single stopover as the airport has plenty of regular connections.
At the airport travelers can enjoy all of the essential amenities and services you would expect. UAE nationals traveling to Mali do not need a visa in order to enter the country. In Bamako you can expect hot weather over the summer with average highs of around 40 degrees between March and May, while the region experiences a rainy season in July through until September. Don’t forget that you will need to put your clocks back four hours to get on local time, while the currency used in the country is the West African CFA franc. In general you can expect prices to be cheaper in Bamako compared to the UAE, so a tight budget might last you a while.
