Reasons To Visit Brasilia
Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, is best known for its modernist architecture and was built in the shape of a giant bird, making it one of the quirkier destinations around the globe. One of the first things you can do is head into the Three Powers Square and see the seats of Brazilian government – Congress, the Supreme Court and the Presidential Palace. If you fancy a break from the city atmosphere then escape into Paranoa Lake, a beautiful area with many cafés and restaurants by the lake. The city hosts many fascinating cultural events and festivals each year including many public art festivals out on the streets, so you will always find something interesting going on.
Arriving In Brasilia
Brasilia International Airport is the main airport serving the capital of Brazil primarily handling domestic and regional flights, although there are a few longer flights available at the airport. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Brasilia, it is not currently possible to catch any direct flights. However, there are a couple of flight options available which would involve only a single stopover which makes the journey more convenient.
The airport itself is set across two terminals, with Terminal 1 the base of international flights. Inside the airport you will find plentiful amenities and services including many restaurants, fast food outlets and cafés as well as extensive duty-free and retail shopping. You can also connect to the airport’s free Wi-Fi network to get online or spend your time waiting in a luxurious airport lounge. When your flight has touched down at the airport you can find buses which will take you into the city, while taxis are also readily available outside both terminals. Alternatively, renting a car in Brasilia is an option.
