Arriving In Lusaka
Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is situated around 25 km from Lusaka and ranks as the busiest airport in Zambia. The airport is set within a single passenger terminal and is scheduled to open up a brand-new second terminal in the future. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Lusaka it is possible to make the journey directly out of Dubai. Currently Emirates is the only airline providing direct flights on this route, with all flights departing from Dubai International Airport.

At Kenneth Kaunda International Airport you will find everything you need in terms of facilities and amenities, although only a basic range of options are available compared to larger airports. There are a couple of cafés and eateries on site, while there is also an airport lounge available where you can benefit from free Wi-Fi and other refreshments and amenities. When you have touched down at the airport, the best way to travel into the city is by taxi. Alternatively, you could consider renting a car in Lusaka.

UAE nationals traveling to Zambia are able to get a visa upon arrival in the country, so you don’t need to make a visa application before your journey. In Lusaka the weather is warm across the calendar year, although there is a rainy season which hits the region in December and continues through until March. You will need to put your clocks back by two hours when you arrive in Lusaka to get on local time, while the currency you will need in Zambia is the Zambian kwacha.
