Arriving In Bucharest
Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport is the busiest airport in Romania located roughly 15 km from the capital. The airport itself consists of a single passenger terminal with a new terminal scheduled to open up by 2023. If you don’t want to take a taxi once you have landed then you can travel into the city by train or bus. Renting a car in Bucharest is also an option. Inside the airport there are a range of retail and duty-free shops alongside various places to eat and drink, while the airport also provides travelers with complimentary Wi-Fi.
If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Bucharest then you can travel out of either of Dubai’s airports – Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. Bucharest Travel Information
Although Romania is not officially a part of the Schengen Area, the same rules still apply so UAE nationals will not be required to get a visa in order to travel to the country. The currency used in the country is the Romania leu, while Bucharest is just one hour behind Dubai so don’t forget to change your clocks once you have arrived. The weather over the summer in Bucharest is hot with highs of around 30 degrees to be expected along with plenty of sunshine, although be advised that temperatures drop rapidly over the winter and often get below freezing.
