Although the city is not quite as busy as other major Asian cities, you can still journey through many busy marketplaces or visit some of the modern shopping malls, while you won’t be lacking when it comes to dining and drinking choices either.

Vientiane Airport, also known as Wattay International Airport, is located just 3 km from Vientiane and handles a range of regional flights. Vientiane Airport is made up of two passenger terminals including the recently built terminal dedicated to international flights.
