Varanasi Airport, known in full as Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, is situated around 25 km from central Varanasi and primarily handles domestic flights as well as a few regional international flights. When your flight has arrived at the airport you can find taxis just outside of the terminal building. Alternatively, those on a strict budget may prefer to hop on a local bus to reach the city - be advised the nearest bus stop is around a 10-minute walk away from the airport. The airport itself is relatively small but offers all of the essentials you would need. There is a small selection of cafés and fast food chains available as well as convenience stores to pick up any last-minute basics.

Airport Information - Departing

Dubai International Airport is the main airport serving Dubai comprised of three passenger terminals. You can conveniently access the airport using the Dubai metro network which goes directly to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, while the airport is also connected to the wider Dubai area by public bus. Everything you could possibly need can be found at the airport whether it’s luxury shops, duty-free products or retail and fashion stores if you fancy some shopping. You also have a whole host of eateries, cafés and restaurants to pick from alongside other luxuries like airport lounges, complimentary Wi-Fi access and rest zones with sleeping pods.

Al Maktoum International Airport is Dubai’s second airport located approximately 40 km from the city center. Although the airport is still in development, it is operational and offers everything you would expect. If you don’t want to take a taxi or drive to the airport you can find public buses from central Dubai running to the airport. The airport offers all of the basics like duty-free shopping, restaurants and cafés and free Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure all travelers have a pleasant stay.

What to Expect in Varanasi
