Airport Information - Arriving
Dubai International Airport is a large airport comprised of three passenger terminals each offering a wide array of amenities and services. In addition to its many different shops offering everything from duty free goods to luxury and designer brands, the airport is home to a varied selection of dining and drinking establishments so you’re sure to find something to your tastes. Once you have landed at the airport you can quickly journey into central Dubai on the Dubai Metro which is connected to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, or you can find taxis available outside all terminals if you want a direct trip to your destination.
Airport Information - Departing
Khartoum International Airport is the main airport serving Khartoum situated around 11km (7 miles) from the city. The airport offers a decent range of facilities and services so you can find everything you would need whether it’s somewhere to eat and drink or shops to pick up some last minute goods or essentials. Although there are buses that can take you near the airport, if you are unfamiliar with local bus routes you may be best off taking a taxi, although parking is available for those who will be driving their own vehicle. If you would prefer to wait somewhere more comfortable for your flight, the VIP Lounge which is located in the international section is ideal.
What to Expect in Dubai
In Dubai the weather is just as hot as it is in Khartoum, although the country does enjoy a cooler period between December and March. Although many nationals can enter Dubai without needing a visa, Sudanese nationals will first have to get a visa before traveling. In Dubai you can expect prices to be much higher compared to Khartoum so be sure to keep an eye on your finances if you’re on a budget.
