Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai and the busiest in the world, handling 80 million passengers a year. Emirates offers flights from New York to Dubai from both New York JFK Airport and New York Newark Airport. Be advised that both flight routes land at Dubai International Airport, the main airport serving the country and not Al Maktoum International Airport.

Dubai International Airport is one of the world’s leading airports known for its huge range of amenities and facilities. At the airport you will find all kinds of shops available whether it’s designer and luxury brands, duty free goods or travel essentials. There are also many different places to eat and drink at the airport ranging from high-end gourmet restaurants to cheap fast food and snacks. The airport itself consists of three passenger terminals which are easy to get between if you need to transfer. Once you have arrived at Dubai International Airport you can hop on the Dubai Metro network from either Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 in order to reach central Dubai.
Airport Information - Departing
New York JFK Airport is a large airport consisting of 6 operational passenger terminals which are all linked together by the JFK AirTrain rail network. At the airport you will find an extensive range of amenities and facilities whether it’s shops to browse through or restaurants and cafes to enjoy a quick bite to eat. Getting to the airport is also possible on the JFK AirTrain network which links all terminals to central New York, making it quick and easy to get to your terminal.
New York Newark Airport is the second busiest airport in New York handling around 40 million passengers every year. At the airport there are all the amenities you would expect of a large modern airport including many shops, restaurants and bars to make your stay pleasant before flying out. The airport benefits from the AirTrain Newark network which allows travelers to easily reach the airport from central New York.
What to Expect in Dubai
In Dubai the weather is much warmer compared to New York and it stays that way throughout the year, although if you don’t like the heat you can visit between November and February when things cool down a little. Although many nationals are able to enter the UAE without needing a visa, U.S nationals will be required to obtain a visa upon arrival in order to enter the country.
