The airport itself is relatively small but offers all of the essential facilities and services you would need. In Asmara the weather is generally warm and dry for most of the year, with average highs of around 33 degrees from April until July. However, there is a small rainy season in the region in July and August. You will need to put your clocks back by just one hour in order to get on local time in Eritrea, while the currency you will need is the Eritrean nakfa.
