Julius Nyerere International Airport is the main airport in Dar Es Salaam situated just over 10 km from the city. The airport itself consists of two passenger terminals which are located separately, so on your way back make sure you arrive at the correct terminal. The easiest way to get to the destination once you have arrived is to flag down a taxi, although you could check with your resort or hotel as many in the area will provide transportation themselves. Renting a car in Dar Es Salaam is also an option. The airport itself offers only a limited range of facilities but you can find a couple of shops and snack bars on site for any essentials.
