Florence Airport is located less than 10 km outside of the city and is set within a single terminal complex. When you have touched down at the airport you can use the airport bus to travel into the city if you would rather not pay for a taxi. Inside the airport there are a few basic amenities available including a restaurant and bar as well as retail and duty-free shopping, so you can find all of the essentials you would need.

Florence Airport mostly handles flights from around Europe, a number of which are on a seasonal basis. If you are looking to travel directly from the UAE to Florence you will not be able to make the journey nonstop and will instead require a stopover. Florence Travel Information

The weather in Florence over the summer gets fairly hot with average highs of around 31 degrees, although you will need some warm clothing with you if you’re visiting over the winter period. As Italy is in the Schengen Area you do not need to worry about getting a visa if you are a UAE national. You can get around in the city by bus or tram if you prefer public transport, while there are plenty of car-rental agencies available at the airport if you would rather drive around yourself.
