Arriving In Hannover

Hannover Airport is situated just over 10 km outside of the city and ranks as the ninth busiest airport in Germany. The airport itself is comprised of three passenger terminals which are all interconnected and offer plenty of amenities and services. If you want to use public transport when you land you can catch the S-Bahn train network to travel into the city, although taxis are relatively affordable and take around 15 to 20 minutes. Travelers at the airport can enjoy a wide range of amenities and facilities including cafés and fast food outlets, duty-free shopping and free Wi-Fi for up to three hours.

Hannover Travel Information

As a UAE national you are able to travel to Germany without a visa for up to 90 days as the country is part of the Schengen Area. The city itself is served by an extensive public transport network consisting of a subway, trains, buses and trams, so it is easy to navigate around. However, there are plenty of car rental companies operating at the airport so you can rent your own vehicle once you have landed. In Hannover you can expect warm temperatures over the summer with average highs of around 23 degrees, although make sure you wrap up warm if you are visiting during the winter as temperatures can often drop below freezing.
