Condor, also known as Condor Flugdienst or Condor Airlines, is a German airline headquartered in Frankfurt with multiple operating bases across the country including its main hub Frankfurt Airport. The airline flies to 80 destinations across the globe with its fleet of 45 aircraft and ranks as Germany’s third largest airline. A former subsidiary of Lufthansa, the airline is now owned by British company Thomas Cook Group. First established in 1955, Condor is known as a leading leisure airline and is a part of the Miles & More frequent flyer program originally launched by Lufthansa.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Condor are able to check-in online or do things the conventional way by checking in at the airport. Those checking in online are able to do so from 24 hours up to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure times, while the airline also offers the flexibility of either printing off your boarding pass or receiving a mobile boarding pass. Condor offer a regular check-in as well as a comfort check-in for an additional 60AED on short and medium-haul flights or 80AED* on long-haul flights to select your own seat and benefit from priority boarding. Alternatively, checking in at the airport is a simple process and counters open at least 2 hours before flights.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Condor allows passengers free baggage allowance as part of the fare, although how much baggage you are allowed will depend on your flight destination and cabin class. Baggage allowances are allocated according to the zone of your flight, so be sure to check directly with the airline for accurate information about your flight. Travelers are also permitted to bring hand baggage on flights free of charge. Those in Economy can bring one item up to 6kg, while Premium Class passengers can bring one item up to 10kg. Those flying in Business Class are permitted two items up to 12kg in total.


Condor flights offer a regular Economy Class alongside a Premium Class and Business Class for those looking to fly in comfort. Passengers are able to reserve seats starting at 40AED*, although this privilege is included in the fare for Premium and Business travelers. The airline also offers XL seats with spacious legroom priced between 100AED-390AED* depending on how far your flight is.
