Arriving In Harare
Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, also shortened simply to Harare Airport, is the main airport in Zimbabwe situated around 10 km from the capital Harare. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Harare you will be able to make the trip directly out of Dubai. Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport is housed within a single terminal and offers the usual range of facilities and services, but don’t expect too much in terms of options. Alongside a couple of basic shops where you can pick up some last minute souvenirs, there are a few dining and drinking options to satisfy your appetite. You can also connect to Wi-Fi at the airport to stay in touch with friends and family. When you have arrived at the airport, the easiest way to travel into the city is to hail a taxi just outside of the terminal. You can also find rental car options in Harare.

As a UAE national flying to Zimbabwe you can get a visa upon arrival, so there’s no need to arrange one before your journey. Over the summer you can expect fairly warm temperatures from September to November with average highs of around 28 degrees, while if you would rather visit during cooler weather then some time between May and August would be ideal. A number of currencies are legal tender in Zimbabwe as the country does not have its own national currency, with US dollars the most popular currency used.
