Gwalior Airport is located only 10 km from central Gwalior and handles a broad range of domestic flights across India. The airport consists of a single passenger terminal which can handle around 350 passengers at a time. The airport also doubles up as a Military Air Force base and has two runways. Facilities and amenities at the airport are lacking so you are best off bringing all of the essentials you need to the airport. However, there are a couple of cafés and eateries at the airport if you are feeling hungry, or you can visit one of the convenience stores to pick up any last-minute basics.

When your flight has touched down at the airport you will be able to catch taxis just outside of the terminal building. The airport does not have public transport links so you will need to arrange for a private transfer or catch a taxi to reach your destination. Once you are in Gwalior you can access the local public transport infrastructure which includes buses and trains to travel around the region. Before your journey you can contact your hotel and check if they run their own private transfer service which may be easier than a taxi.
