Flying to Pasighat
Pasighat Airport is both a civilian and military airport, with all commercial operations handled in the new passenger terminal which opened up in 2017. There are currently just a couple of domestic services at the airport with Alliance Air and no international flights available. Although UAE-based travelers won’t be able to fly directly to Pasighat, you can conveniently make the trip with just a single transfer. Facilities and amenities at the airport are very limited, so bring all of your must-haves with you.
Arriving in Pasighat
When you land at Pasighat Airport there will be local transportation options available in the form of taxis and auto rickshaws, although availability is not always guaranteed. If you are staying with a hotel or resort in the region, you are advised to get in touch with them to arrange for an airport transfer as this will make things a lot easier for you. Public transportation links are lacking at the airport, but you will be able to connect to the local bus network in Pasighat.

Pasighat Travel Information
The climate in Pasighat doesn’t get as hot as the UAE in the summer but still experiences very warm weather with average highs of 30-32 degrees between May and October. However, be advised that this also coincides with the rainy season so it may not be the best time of year to visit. Temperatures are a lot cooler and rainfall is less frequent between November to March which is the peak travel season in the area. Before flying to India, many nationals including those from the UAE can get an e-visa online which will allow stays of up to 60 days. Remember that the time zone in India is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of the UAE and the local currency is the Indian rupee.
