Liverpool John Lennon Airport is the main airport serving Liverpool situated less than 15 km outside of the city center. The airport itself is set within a single passenger terminal and provides a decent range of shops, restaurants and other services to keep you happy. When you have touched down at the airport you can use public transport to reach central Liverpool with bus services available, although there are also plenty of taxis to make the short trip.
