As the capital of Kosovo, Pristina is the home of the majority of the country’s best heritage sites and landmarks alongside plenty of interesting museums and art galleries which further explore the country’s rich heritage. There are some memorable works of architecture in the city like the sprawling University of Pristina Library and the UNESCO World Heritage monastery in Gracanica just outside the city, or if you fancy a bit of shopping visit the markets in the old quarter.
