Arriving In Shannon

Shannon Airport is the third busiest airport in Ireland located just 5 km outside of the town of Shannon in County Clare. The airport is set within a single terminal complex and offers all of the basic facilities you would expect including duty-free shopping, a 24-hour restaurant and a couple of cafés to keep travelers happy. When you have arrived at the airport you can flag down a taxi to reach Shannon or visit one of the car-rental agencies at the airport.

Although Shannon Airport offers a few long-haul flights, you will not be able to travel from the UAE to Shannon directly and will instead need to make a stopover somewhere. The airport has a number of seasonal connections to leading airports like Frankfurt and Vienna as well as regular flights to and from London Heathrow and Manchester, so it is possible to make the journey from the UAE with just the one stopover.
