Airport Information - Arriving
Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport is set within a single passenger terminal that is one of the largest in the world. When your flight has landed at the airport you can journey into central Bangkok in only 30 minutes by hopping on the Airport Rail Link, although taxis are available if you would rather get to your destination directly. You can also rent a car in Bangkok. The airport offers a comprehensive range of services and amenities so you won’t be left wanting. Alongside a large number of retail shops and duty-free shopping, there are plenty of places to eat and drink and you can also benefit from up to two hours of free Wi-Fi during your time at the airport. In addition to this, the airport has rest zones with comfortable reclining seats as well as several luxurious airport lounges.
Airport Information - Departing
Munich Airport is located less than 30 km from Munich and ranks as the second busiest airport in Germany. The airport itself is home to two passenger terminals which are connected together by the Munich Airport Center, a commercial complex where you will find a huge variety of shops, restaurants and other services. There are a few ways that you can travel to the airport from central Munich including on the S-Bahn, so you don’t have to take a taxi. In both terminals you will be able to find all of the services and amenities you would need, while you can also stay connected by enjoying free Wi-Fi during your time at the airport.
What to Expect in Bangkok
The Bangkok weather is a lot hotter compared to Munich and stays that way throughout the year with highs of between 31 to 35 degrees. However, be advised that the city experiences a lengthy rainy season which starts in May and doesn’t end until October, so make sure you bring your waterproofs or an umbrella. There are lots of hotels in Bangkok catering for every budget. German and UAE nationals are entitled to enter Thailand on a visa-free basis for a period of up to 30 days.
