Arriving In Conakry

Conakry International Airport is the busiest airport in Guinea located less than 10 km from Conakry. The airport primarily handles flights within the region but there are some longer flights available including flights from the UAE. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Conakry you will be able to fly directly out of Dubai. Emirates is the only airline providing flights on this route out of Dubai International Airport, although be advised that flights make a stop at Dakar before continuing to Conakry. Conakry International Airport offers all of the essentials you would need in terms of its facilities and services. Along with a couple of snack bars where you can grab a quick bite to eat, the airport has its own VIP lounge which provides travelers with Wi-Fi access and much more. As a UAE national traveling to Guinea, you will need a valid visa so be sure to get your application sent off with plenty of time to spare before your journey. In Conakry temperatures are hot all year round, with the hottest time of year coming between December to March which sees average highs of around 33 degrees and dry weather. There is a strong and lengthy rainy season in the region which begins in June and continues until October when it rains almost every day. You will need to put your clocks back by four hours to get on local time in Guinea, while the currency you will need is the Guinean Franc.
