Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport is the only passenger airport in the country and is located around 5km from central Beirut. As the main base of Middle East Airline, the national carrier of Lebanon, the airport handles over 7 million passengers a year and boasts excellent facilities and amenities. Many airlines provide cheap flights to Lebanon from destinations including London, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Most nationals arriving in Lebanon will be required to get a visa upon arrival, although select nationals including those from UAE and Qatar are able to enter visa-free.
Best Time to Visit Lebanon
The weather in Lebanon remains warm and pleasant between April and November, while its winters can be fairly cold and wet. The temperature is at its hottest between June and August which may be the best time visit the country’s beach resorts, while the cooler temperatures either side of this summer period are cooler and ideal for exploring Lebanon.
