The city experience a brief rainy period in April and May as well as a spell in November, while it stays mostly dry for the rest of the year. The driest months are between June and September which is when many book their safari and outdoor excursions. The main airport in Nairobi is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport located 15km from the center of the city. There are direct flights from the UAE to Nairobi offered by a number of airlines - those coming from Dubai International Airport can fly with African Express Airways, Emirates and Kenya Airways, while travelers from Abu Dhabi International Airport are able to catch a flight with Etihad Airways.
