How to Check in

Kenya Airways passengers are able to check-in online or do it the old fashioned way at the airport. Online check-in is available from 30 hours up to 2 hours before your scheduled flight departure time and offers an easy way to skip the queues and check-in quickly. All passengers on international flights must check-in at least two and a half hours before the flight leaves and should arrive earlier just to stay on the safe side. Those who are checking in online will need to print off their boarding pass, while those with hold baggage will need to drop their baggage off at the online check-in drop off counter at the airport. During the check-in process online, passengers are able to select their preferred seat.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Passengers flying with Kenya Airways are entitled to checked baggage as part of the ticket price, although the specific allowances vary according to your flight class and frequent flyer membership. Those traveling in Economy are entitled to two items of baggage up to 23kg each, while Business Class passengers are allowed two items up to 32kg each. In addition to this, all passengers are permitted to bring one item of hand baggage on board no heavier than 10kg or larger than 56cm x 36cm x 20cm. On top of this, a further personal item such as a laptop or handbag is also allowed free of charge. Other flight routes with Kenya Airways only allow 20kg for Economy and 30kg for Business Class, so it is advisable to check with the airline for up-to-date information about your flight.

Seating

Kenya Airways flights offer Economy Class seating as well as spacious Business Class seats for those looking to travel in comfort. In Economy Class, passengers can enjoy a seat pitch of 32 inches, while those in Business Class can look forward to a generous 75 inch seat pitch. Travelers have the option to purchase seats with extra legroom for an additional price of either 200AED on flights under four hours or 275AED* on longer flights. Both flight classes a served an in-flight meal.
