Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport is situated roughly 25 km from Nouakchott and is the primary international airport serving Mauritania handling a range of international flights. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Nouakchott you will not be able to make the trip directly. However, the airport has extensive connections so it is possible to get from the UAE to Nouakchott with only a single transfer.
