Why You Should Visit Pisa
Although the city of Pisa is instantly recognizable for its famous Leaning Tower, the city offers much more with many beautiful architectural gems and lively festivals held throughout the year. Any visit to the city would not be complete without seeing the iconic Torre Pendente, the local name for the Leaning Tower, which is close to 1,000 years old. Other landmarks in the city well worth seeing include the stunning Cathedral of Pisa and the quaint Piazza dei Cavalieri square lined with many ancient buildings and statues. Pisa also boasts plenty of excellent museums and art galleries like the Museo di San Matteo exhibiting various Renaissance art works, or you may consider a relaxing day at a spa such as the ancient Casciana Terme thermal retreat.
