Arriving In Rwanda

Kigali International Airport is the main airport in Rwanda located just 5 km outside of the capital Kigali. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Rwanda, it will be possible to make the journey directly to Kigali out of Dubai. Currently the only airline providing flights from the UAE to Rwanda is RwandAir, with all flights departing from Dubai International Airport.

When you have arrived at Kigali International Airport you can quickly and affordably travel into the capital by taxi which is only 5 km away. Inside the airport itself there are relatively few facilities available, so make sure you bring everything essential with you in order to avoid disappointment. However, there is a café available on site to grab a quick bite to eat and you can also benefit from free Wi-Fi during your stay.

As a UAE national traveling to Rwanda, you will be able to obtain an e-visa online before flying. In the country there are two rainy periods falling between September to December and March until May.
