Everything you could possibly imagine is contained around the island whether it’s millennia-old historic sites, stunning sandy beaches or vibrant bars and clubs. Active travelers will find many hiking and walking trails across the island, while there are more high-octane pursuits to be had including scuba diving and horse-riding. You have a huge array of choices when it comes to beaches such as the isolated Amoudi beach, the popular Red Beach and the quiet Agios Georgios. Don’t forget to sample one of the local gyro meals or enjoy a tour of a beautiful winery. Santorini features in our list of the 10 best places to visit in Greece.
