Arriving In Kelowna

Kelowna International Airport is located just over 10 km from the city of Kelowna and is one of the busiest airports in Canada primarily handling regional flights. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Kelowna you won’t find any direct flights available, although the airport has regular connections from Toronto which would enable UAE-based travelers to fly to Kelowna with just one stopover.

The terminal complex at Kelowna International Airport was recently renovated and now includes many additional amenities and facilities for the benefit of travelers. There are a number of restaurants, cafés and eateries available, while you can also connect to free Wi-Fi during your stay or browse through duty-free shopping. Getting from the airport into the city is most conveniently done by taxi, with the distance just a little over 10 km. Alternatively, you could consider a rental car in Kelowna if you want to explore the beautiful country at your leisure.

As a UAE national traveling to Canada, you will have to apply for a visa first so make sure you do so well in advance of your journey. For most of the year the weather in Kelowna is cold and drops below freezing deep into winter, but temperatures soon warm up over the summer with average highs of around 28 degrees between July and August. Be advised that Kelowna is a considerable 12 hours behind the UAE, while the currency you will need in Canada is the Canadian dollar.
