Travelers flying from Amman to Dubai can catch direct flights with a few different airlines, with flights arriving at both of Dubai’s international airports – Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. With Emirates, flydubai and Royal Jordanian you will be landing at Dubai International Airport, the main airport in the country, while flydubai also provides a service to Al Maktoum International Airport.

Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is Dubai’s primary airport located only 5 km from the city center. The airport is comprised of three passenger terminals and is linked to the city via the Dubai metro network and by bus. Alternatively, taxis are readily available outside of all passenger terminals and there are also several car rental agencies on site if you need to rent a vehicle. Al Maktoum International Airport is Dubai’s secondary airport located less than 40 km from Dubai. The airport is not yet complete but still offers a good range of amenities for travelers. You’ll find all of the essentials including duty-free and retail shopping, several eateries and fast food outlets as well as free Wi-Fi access. There is a bus service connecting the airport to Dubai and taxis can be found outside of the arrivals hall. When the project is complete it is set to become Dubai’s primary airport and will boast an unrivaled range of stores, restaurants and other luxuries.

Queen Alia International Airport is Jordan’s main airport, situated around 30 km from Amman. The airport is set within a single passenger terminal complex which opened up in 2013 and is noted for its modernity and high standards. You can get to the airport from central Amman via the airport bus if you don’t plan on taking a taxi or driving yourself. While you wait for your flight to the airport you find everything you could possibly need for an excellent experience. There are several restaurants and eateries open alongside extensive duty-free and retail shopping. There are also a few airport lounges available if you want somewhere more exclusive to wait, while the airport provides travelers with free Wi-Fi access.
