Airport Information - Arriving
Birmingham Airport is comprised of two passenger terminals which are connected so you can easily make your way between the two on foot if you have to transfer between flights. When you have touched down in Birmingham you can travel into the city by bus or rail if you would rather not take a taxi. During your time at the airport you can look forward to an extensive range of amenities including restaurants, cafés, retail shops and duty-free shopping. In addition to this, the airport also provides free Wi-Fi for travelers and has a large children’s play area, Sky Zone, which is ideal for families traveling with kids.
Airport Information - Departing
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport has two passenger terminals in operation as Terminal 1 is currently not being used. The two passenger terminals are connected by the Sky Court center, a large commercial area which is home to an extensive range of shops, cafés and restaurants. Getting to the airport is easy as there are public buses and trains from central Budapest, while the airport is only around 15 km from the city center so a taxi journey is affordable. As well as the amenities offered in the Sky Court, each terminal offers a lot in terms of shops and restaurants so you have plenty to do while you wait for your flight.
What to Expect in Birmingham
In Birmingham the summer weather is not quite as hot as it is in Budapest with highs of around 21C to be expected. EU nationals do not need to get a visa in order to travel to the UK, although UAE nationals will first have to apply for an Electronic Visa Waiver online before catching flights. Remember that Birmingham is one hour behind Budapest, so don’t forget to set your clocks to local time once you land.
