Jet2 is a low-cost airline offering cheap flights to 58 destinations across Europe, primarily focusing on Spain, France and the Mediterranean. The main hub of the airline is Leeds Bradford Airport, although it has numerous bases across the UK and an overseas hub in Alicante Airport. The airline started operating flights in 2003 and has grown to become a leading budget airline for holidaymakers. Jet2 also operate a transatlantic flight route to New York Newark International Airport on a seasonal basis each year.

How to Check in

Jet2 passengers are able to check-in from 28 days up to 5 hours before your flight departs. All passengers are required to print out a boarding pass in order to board the flight. If this is not possible, a boarding pass can be printed for you at the airport for a fee of 80AED. Alternatively, travelers can check in the conventional way at the airport, although this will also incur a fee of 80AED*. Check-in counters are open from up to four hours to 40 minutes before departures.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

All passengers flying with Jet2 are permitted to bring one item of baggage on board at no charge. Cabin baggage must not weight more than 10kg or exceed 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Passengers also have the option to check-in baggage at an additional price. The limit is up to three items of baggage up to 22kg each. When booking baggage to check-in, passengers should be advised that it can be significantly cheaper to arrange this online, as doing so at the airport will cost around 185AED*.


As a single-class airline, Jet2 seats are automatically assigned once you have booked your ticket. However, passengers also have the option to select a preferred seat, with prices starting at 18AED for standard seats and 58AED* for seat with additional legroom. Standard seats on Jet2 flights offer decent legroom of 30 inches.

Booking Fees

Passengers booking their ticket with a credit card will be charged an additional 2.5% of the ticket price, while PayPal payments will incur an additional 2% fee. Booking with a debit card is free of charge and the best way to avoid additional charges.
