Dubai International Airport is the world’s busiest airport in terms of international passenger statistics serving over 80 million travelers per year. The airport is known for its large range of amenities and facilities so you won’t be lacking in choices when it comes to shopping or dining. Many leading designer brands have stores at Dubai International Airport and you can also enjoy extensive duty free shopping, while there are many places to eat and drink ranging from top-end restaurants to fast food outlets. Once you have landed at Dubai International Airport you can hop on the Dubai Metro from either Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, or you can just as easily flag down a taxi outside any of the terminals at all hours of the day.

Airport Information - Departing

Chicago O’Hare International Airport, also called O’Hare Airport, is Chicago’s primary airport located 27km (17 miles) outside of the city. The airport has four passenger terminals - Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and Terminal 5. Getting to the airport from central Chicago is easiest on the CTA Blue Line which only takes around 40-50 minutes, while you can easily transfer between terminals if you need to switch flights. At the airport you will find a large number of shops including duty free shopping as well as many different places to enjoy a drink or a meal.

In Dubai the weather stays hot all year round and gets especially scorching over the summer, so be prepared for the heat no matter what time of year your visit. There are plenty of hotels in Dubai catering for every type of visitor. While many citizens including EU nationals can enter Dubai without needing a visa, US nationals will have to obtain a visa upon arrival. It's free of charge and lasts for 30 days. Be advised that Dubai is 9 hours ahead of Chicago so remember to put your clocks forward when you land.
