Airport Information - Departing

Bandaranaike International Airport is the main airport for Colombo located 35km from the center of the city. The airport is made up of two passenger terminals and also plans to open up a third terminal in 2020. The main terminal in the airport is Terminal 1 which handles all international flights, while domestic operations are based at Terminal 3. At the airport you can find all of the amenities and facilities you would need for a pleasant stay. As well as duty free shopping in Terminal 1, you can find a few different shops throughout the airport to pick up your travel necessities before your journey. There are also a few options available for food and drink to grab a bite to eat before flying.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai the weather is hot throughout the year, especially over the summer when temperatures can reach scorching highs. If you would prefer things to be a little cooler then the best period to visit is between November and February when temperatures are lower. While the UAE permits nationals from many countries to enter without a visa, Sri Lankan nationals will have to obtain a visa before traveling.
