Dusseldorf Airport is the main international gateway into Dusseldorf located around 7km (4 miles) from the city. If you are flying from Dubai to Dusseldorf you are able to catch flights with Emirates out of Dubai International Airport (DXB), while there are also seasonal flights available with Condor out of Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

Airport Information - Arriving
Dusseldorf Airport is comprised of three passenger terminals all connected together so you can easily transfer between flights on foot. The newest terminal is Terminal C which is dedicated to all non-Schengen flights including those to and from Dubai. At the airport you will find a broad selection of amenities and facilities so you won’t be short on things to do. As well as offering a wide range of restaurants and cafes, passengers can pass the time browsing through the airport’s many shops to pick up some last minute goods and gifts. Once you have landed at the airport you can journey into Dusseldorf by train in around 12 minutes, although buses and taxis are also available if you would prefer.
Airport Information - Departing
Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai made up of three passenger terminals. If you aren’t driving or taking a taxi you can get to the airport using public transport as Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are connected to the Dubai Metro. Emirates are based at Terminal 3. Once you have reached the airport there are many things that you can do to pass the time including enjoying a meal or doing some duty free shopping before you fly out. You will also find a number of world-class airport lounges where you can wait for your flight in luxury and comfort.
Al Maktoum International Airport is the newest airport in Dubai and is not yet operating at full capacity although it's projected to overtake Dubai International Airport as Dubai’s main airport. The airport still offers a decent range of amenities and facilities so there are plenty of places to eat and drink and numerous shops to pick up some last minute essentials before your journey.
What to Expect in Dusseldorf
While summers in Dusseldorf get warm and pleasant, be prepared for the cold over winter as temperatures can drop rapidly. As a part of the Schengen Area, Germany allows many nationals including those from the UAE to enter the country without needing a visa.
