Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is Lusaka’s primary airport located around 25km outside of the city. It is possible to fly directly to Lusaka from Dubai with Emirates, the flag carrier of Dubai. All flights depart from Dubai International Airport (DXB), the country’s primary airport not to be mistaken with Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

Airport Information - Arriving
Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is comprised of a single passenger terminal, although there are plans to open up a new second terminal to the airport in the near future. When you have landed at the airport, the most reliable way to reach the center of Lusaka is by taxi as there are no public transport routes available nearby. While you wait at the airport you can find a basic range of amenities including a couple of places to grab something to eat, or you may want to wait in the airport lounge which provides comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi.

If you are catching flights with Emirates you will be based at Terminal 3, the airline’s dedicated terminal.
