Toronto Pearson International Airport is Toronto’s main airport consisting of two passenger terminals. When you have arrived at the airport there are a number of ways to reach the city including public transport. The quickest way to make the journey is on the UP Express train which will take just 25 minutes, although there are also public bus services available instead along with taxis. While there are plenty of car rental companies at Toronto Airport, you can rely on public transport to get around the city which is served by buses, streetcars and a subway system. There are a variety of retail, duty-free and designer stores to browse through, while the airport also offers an excellent range of cafés and restaurants.

The airport is made up of three passenger terminals and offers all of the amenities and facilities you could possibly need. Getting to the airport is perhaps easiest on the Dubai Metro if you don’t want to take a taxi or drive yourself, although there are also local buses available and extensive parking. Pass the time at the airport by browsing through the huge range of designer and duty-free stores or enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants and fast food outlets. If you are flying with Emirates you will depart out of Terminal 3, while Air Canada flights leave from Terminal 1.

What to Expect in Toronto

UAE nationals catching flights to Canada will have to have a visa in order to enter the country, so be sure to get an application sent off in advance of your journey. While the weather in the city over the summer is rather warm with average highs in the mid-20s from June to August, you can expect freezing temperatures and plenty of snowfall during the winter period so remember to pack thick winter clothing. The currency you will need in Canada is the Canadian dollar, while Toronto is eight hours behind the UAE so be wary about jetlag.
