Cheap Flights from Houston to Dubai

In Dubai there are two international airports serving the country - Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. Travelers looking to fly from Houston to Dubai are able to book flights with Emirates, the only carrier serving this route presently (Emirates baggage allowance information). All flights from Houston to Dubai depart from George Bush International Airport and arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is Dubai’s primary airport made up of three passenger terminals - passengers flying with Emirates will be based at Terminal 3, the airline’s dedicated terminal. Once you have landed at the airport you can make the journey into central Dubai on the Dubai Metro which is conveniently linked to Terminal 3 and Terminal 1, although taxis are available if you would prefer. At the airport you can find a huge range of amenities to keep you happy whether it’s duty-free shopping and luxury stores or places to grab a bite to eat. Other amenities to be enjoyed at the airport include sleeping pods to catch up on some rest and free Wi-Fi throughout so you can get online.

George Bush International Airport is Houston’s main airport comprised of five passenger terminals. If you want to use public transport to get to the airport then there are buses available from Houston, although sufficient parking is available for those who will be driving. Once you have arrived at the airport there are plenty of things to do while you wait to board your flight. Alongside a wide range of retail shops and duty-free stores, you can choose from many different dining and drinking spots to satisfy your appetite before your flight. If you arrive at the wrong terminal at the airport then it’s easy to travel between terminals so you can make it to your departure terminal in no time.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai the weather is just as hot as Houston so be prepared for the heat, although temperatures do cool off considerably over the winter between December and March. US nationals flying to Dubai will be required to obtain a visa upon arrival. Once you have arrived in Dubai you can easily explore the city using the Dubai Metro, although you can also find rental car companies at the airport if you want your own vehicle. There are plenty of hotels in Dubai catering for every budget.
