Cheap Flights from Salalah to Dubai

The two international airports serving Dubai are Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Currently Dubai International Airport is the primary airport, while the newer Al Maktoum International Airport is yet to ramp up to full capacity but is projected to become the world’s busiest airport in the future. Travelers looking to fly from Salalah to Dubai are able to catch flights with Flydubai and Oman Air, with both flights arriving at Dubai International Airport.

Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is home to three passenger terminals which you can travel between by metro or bus if you need to transfer between flights. Once you have arrived at the airport you can ride on the Dubai Metro network into the center of the city from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, or you can find taxis available outside all terminals if you would prefer a direct journey to your destination. Alternatively, many visitors to the UAE rent a car. At the airport travelers are able to enjoy a world-class range of amenities and facilities including luxury and duty-free shopping and many restaurants and cafes. The airport is also home to a large number of premium airport lounges for those who prefer to wait for flights somewhere more exclusive. Additional amenities available include complimentary Wi-Fi, sleeping pods for weary travelers and on-site spa centers.

Airport Information - Departing

Salalah International Airport is Oman’s second busiest airport located only 5km outside of the city of Salalah. The airport is almost brand-new having only opened up in 2015 and offers an ample range of amenities to keep travelers happy. As the airport is so close to the city the easiest way to get there is by taxi which won’t cost too much. At the airport you can enjoy a few dining and drinking establishments or spend your time in one of the airport lounges to enjoy perks such as refreshments and comfortable seating.

What to Expect in Dubai

Omani citizens are able to enter Dubai without needing a visa, provided that a valid national ID card is presented. In Dubai you can expect prices to be higher than what you are used to in Salalah so don’t spend your budget all at once. The weather in the country is hot throughout the year so be prepared for plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures no matter what time of year it is.
