Finding cheap flights from Tokyo to Dubai: Frequently asked questions
In Dubai to the two main airports are Dubai International Airport (DXB) and the new Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) which is not yet operating at full capacity. If you are making your way from Tokyo to Dubai you are able to catch flights with Emirates, the only airline currently operating on this route. Flights are available from both of Tokyo’s main airports - Tokyo International Airport and Narita International Airport.

Airport Information - Arriving
When you have arrived at Dubai International Airport the most convenient way to travel into the center of Dubai is on the Dubai Metro which is connected to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, while those based at Terminal 2 can use the free shuttle bus to reach another terminal. Alternatively, if you would prefer a direct journey to your destination then taxis can be found outside all terminals, while car rental companies operate at the airport if you are looking to use your own vehicle. There are a wide range of world-class shops to browse through at the airport including many duty-free shopping sections, while you won’t be short on choices when it comes to dining and drinking.
Airport Information - Departing
Tokyo International Airport is Japan’s busiest airport serving around 75 million travelers each year. Getting to the airport from central Tokyo is best achieved by hopping on the Tokyo Monorail, although there are various other transportation options available to suit your needs. You will find a wide range of things to do at the airport to pass the time while you wait to board your flights including duty-free shopping and numerous dining and drinking options.
Narita International Airport is the main international gateway into Tokyo located around 70km (43 miles) from the city. You can reach the airport in less than 45 minutes on the Skyliner network, while there is also the Narita Express train service which only takes around an hour. At the airport all of your needs will be met as there is a wide selection of amenities and services including multiple shops, duty-free stores and various eateries and cafes.
What to Expect in Dubai
In Dubai the weather is going to be a lot hotter than Tokyo all year round so be prepared for the heat. Japanese nationals are able to enter Dubai and obtain a visa upon arrival so there’s no need to get one before you travel. Be advised that Dubai is 5 hours behind Tokyo so you will have to wind back your clocks once you land.
