Chongqing is one of the leading cities in China and has undergone tremendous development in recent decades to transform it into a thriving modern metropolis. Arriving In Chongqing
Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is located around 20 km away from Chongqing and is one of the busiest airports in China seeing over 35 million passengers through its doors every year. The airport handles a wide range of domestic and international flights including direct flights from the UAE. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Chongqing you will be able to travel directly out of Dubai. Currently Air China is the only airline providing flights on this route, with all flights departing from Dubai International Airport.
At Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport there are two passenger terminals, with one terminal dedicated to international flights. Inside the airport itself you can look forward to a broad range of amenities and facilities to meet your needs. As well as a selection of cafés and eateries, you can browse through a wide range of designer, retail and duty-free shops. When you have arrived at the airport there are plenty of ways to travel around including by public transport. If you would rather not pay for a taxi then you can catch the metro which is directly connected to the airport or hop on a public bus instead.

As a UAE national traveling to China, you will have to have a valid visa before your journey so make sure you complete an application with plenty of time to spare. In Chongqing you can expect relatively hot weather over the summer with average highs of 33 degrees between July and August, while over the winter it can cool down quite a lot so you will need some warm clothing with you. Be advised that Chongqing is four hours ahead of the UAE, so don’t forget to put your clocks forward when you touch down.
