Arriving In Costa Rica

The primary international airport serving Costa Rica is Juan Santamaria International Airport just outside the capital San Jose, while the country is also served by Liberia International Airport which serves many international routes. Although it will not be possible to catch flights directly from the UAE to Costa Rica, both of the country’s main international airports have regular connections to airports which handle direct flights from the UAE, so you will conveniently be able to make the trip with just a single stopover.

If you will be landing at Juan Santamaria International Airport it will be possible to find local buses to travel into the center of San Jose if you don’t want to pay for a private taxi. The airport is comprised of a main terminal alongside a domestic terminal and offers an excellent range of amenities and services including retail and duty-free shopping alongside a few cafés and restaurants. In addition to this, you will be able to enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi during your stay.

Those arriving at Liberia International Airport will also be able to catch a local bus to travel into the city center which is just over 10 km away. The airport itself is relatively small but offers all of the essential amenities and facilities you would need including a restaurant and café as well as duty-free shopping.
